Settling down, getting paid
Hello everyone!
I’m finally employed! It lowkey feels good to have an external authority plan out 50% of my time - takes a lot of the decision paralysis out of my day. Now, for the million-dollar question: What do I actually do? I’m an Outbound SDR, which is a fancy way of saying that I cold call hundreds of people a day. Those annoying spam calls? It might just be me.
Just kidding, I only call construction workers. But if any of y’all are working at a site right now… can I get your digits 👀?
People are really out here doing the most random stuff. My friend took me outdoor bouldering the other day. We were out till 11 pm on a Friday with our headlamps and crash pads, surrounded by a pitch-black forest. I thought to myself, “Gee, two years ago I would’ve been lining up for a club right about now. A normal ass Friday.” Who could’ve imagined that people were just climbing some damn rocks instead? I certainly did not.

Backpacking Garibaldi Park: 27lbs of stuff. 45km hiked. ~30 mosquito bites. 1 ex-Bain consultant on the mountain who literally didn’t know how to filter water until we helped her. The sunset at the summit of Panorama Ridge was fucking priceless. So much processed, packaged food though.
Raging at Black Myth Wukong: I played 10 hours of this game the week it came out. Even my mom had heard about the cultural impact of this game, and this is the lady who used to turn off the wifi at night. Got boring quick though. Trailer here.
Going for walks with friends: This is slowly becoming my favorite type of hangout - cheap, effective, and healthy! Good shit.
